David Krueger - Mayor & Council Member - At Large

First elected to City Council on November 4, 2008, Mayor Krueger is serving his third term as Councilmember and as council elected Mayor of Swartz Creek.  Mayor Krueger has lived in the City since 1977 and has served as pastor of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church for 35 years, being retired at this time.  Mr. Krueger was a precinct delegate for 20 years and is currently a member of the Swartz Creek Senior Center and serves as liaison to the Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Krueger and his wife Linda have two grown children.

John Gilbert - At Large

First elected to City Council on November 6, 2012, Councilmember Gilbert is serving his second term on the Swartz Creek City Council.   Mr. Gilbert has lived in the Swartz Creek area his whole life, graduating from Swartz Creek High School.  Mr. Gilbert is actively involved with the Veteran’s Memorial Committee and the American Legion, as well as being on the Zoning Board of Appeals since October of 2008.  Mr. Gilbert stays active in his community and can be seen regularly walking his Old English Sheepdog through the City.  Mr. Gilbert and his Wife Edna have three children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Dennis Pinkston - Mayor Pro Tem - Ward 1

First elected to City Council November 4, 2014, Councilmember  Pinkston is a Swartz Creek native who graduated from Swartz Creek High School and Mott Community College before going on to earn a doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University.  Dr. Pinkston established Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital in 1968 and served as Genesee County Veterinarian for more than 20 years.  Dr. Pinkston is a past president of Swartz Creek Business Club and Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce.

Rae Lynn Hicks - Ward 2

First elected to City Council November 7, 2006.  Councilmember Hicks is also an active member of the Park Board since 2001 and the Swartz Creek Women’s Club.  She currently serves on the Swartz Creek Area Fire Board and Metro Police Authority Board.

Jentery Farmer - Ward 4

First elected to City Council on November 6, 2018. Jentery M. Farmer (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) was born and raised in Swartz Creek. Jentery's interest in local politics started when he was a Cub Scout. He attended a city council meeting with his pack and from there began learning about and pursuing opportunities to get involved at a deeper level with the Swartz Creek community. While attending Swartz Creek High School Jentery engaged in the community through Peers Who Care, FIRST Robotics, and Key Club, which all lead to his consistent involvement in Kiwanis meetings, further developing his knowledge and passion for the Swartz Creek community. After Graduating from Swartz Creek High School in 2012, Jentery attended U of M Flint while simultaneously working for Jimmy Johns and for YMCA Camp Copneconic as a camp counselor and coordinator leading kids and staff. Currently, Jentery holds the position of an Account Manager at John P. O'Sullivan. Jentery also volunteers on the Hometown Days Committee and served on the Swartz Creek Planning Commission from 2016-2018.Mr. Farmer is the council representative on the planning commission.

Dennis W. Cramer - At Large

First elected to City Council on November 8th  2016.

Councilmember Cramer is serving his first term on the Swartz Creek City Council. Mr. Cramer has lived in Swartz Creek since 1973. He is a 1976 Swartz Creek High School graduate. After high school he enlisted in the armed forces, served “faithfully and Honorably”, was retired from The United States Navy February 2003. Mr. Cramer is a graduate of Central Michigan University. Mr. Cramer is a member of the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge, where he has been an active volunteer within the community with the “Bikes for Books” program and the Child ID program. He also volunteers for the Friends Of The Perkins Library. He recently served as Treasurer on the Save Our Streets, citizen action committee. Mr. Cramer has a daughter who resides in Tennessee.Mr. Cramer serves on the Metro Police Authority Board.
